Launched in October 2005, Jon Chattman's thecheappop.com prides itself on having pop culture A.D.D., featuring lowkey and non-offensive celebrity interviews (up-and-comers, forgotten favorites, and established hot shots), humor stories, quirky short films, Jon’s dad Gary on the Broadway beat, "16 Minutes," a celebrity-styled Q&A with a non-celebrity, and tastefully candid celebrity photos (with nonsensical comments to boot).
Fans of the site also know we have an undying love of mustaches. We were the first site to embrace the 'stache comeback although we're never given credit for it. That's cool. Keep rocking those 'staches, fellas.

"A terrific site for pop culture news with lots of original material - all written with wit and good nature. It's been running strong since October 2005 - in web terms, a near miracle of staying power."

Honestly if you had those good Brazalian looks you’d cover Stryper too! I’m sure if they had the internet back when I was in high school I would’ve definitely uploaded a video of myself covering Styper’s “Always There For You.” But alas the world would have to wait 20 years for that to happen. Nonetheless, our friend here makes it worth the wait. In less than two minutes the video only whets the Stryper appetite, hopefully the rest of “to Hell With The Devil” is on the way. - Allie Tarantino

In the late 80’s, two crazes swept the nation…Guns N’ Roses and Batman. In this Youtube, video GNR meets the Bats in Bizarro fashion. The cover seems more Wesley Willis than Axl Rose and it’s a tough six minutes. Those with enough “patience” are rewarded at the 3:54 mark when spoken word meets martial arts.
Whoever gave this “performer” recording equipment should be investigated for criminal charges. This viewer is still unsure whether this was lost drunken bet OR the continuation of a drunken binge. Needless to say, with a better fitting Batmask and a more up tempo GNR song (say “Paradise City) and this artist may be talking more than the mundane 6,000 views he presently has.
Happy Birthday to Mr. Neil Diamond, who turns 67 today. If any artist was worthy of a bio-flick it’s Diamond. No Diamond shines like Neil Diamond. Look at that shirt in the video. Look at the moves. Look at the Tyne Daly hairdo on steroids. Nobody does it better than Neil Diamond. Have a good one, and Hollywood, if you’re listening…get on that movie. Diamond is a girl and guy’s best friend.
Here’s the video of “Tough Crowd” by the always funny Zach Galifianakis. While this video is hilarious, we’re more taken by Zach’s mustache. The comedian usually has a thick beard, but for one moment in time, he sports a mustache that recalls a young Wilford Brimley.
Here’s the first five minutes of the new film Teeth, a story about a killer vagina…we kid you not. Check out Mike Johnson’s film coverage tomorrow. The flick is set to debut at Sundance Friday.Paging Eve Ensler.
Our photographer Mike DiScuillo poses with The Hulkster. Listen to their exchange on TMZ from the other day (click video below to hear Mike ask him about Rachel Ray).
Before Fergie, there was Kids Incorporated’s other resident superstar: Martika. She warned us about drug use in “Toy Soliders,” but we prefer this kick ass remake “I Feel the Earth Move.” Check out those dance moves, and you’ll see who’s really Fergalicious … Martikalicious?
