The Revolution Will Be Televised

With Ozzfest and Lollapalooza having become one-off weekend events in Texas and Chicago, respectively, Linkin Park’s Projekt Revolution tour, in its’ fifth go-round, aims to carry on the torch of summer festivals that, as my mentor/hip-hop pioneer Chuck D would say, “bring the noise.”
The upper tier of the Jones Beach Amphitheater were completely empty for the first half of the entire show on July 22, and the people in the seats beneath were reticent to get out of theirs, despite the best efforts of the artists on stage, who were putting on thoroughly solid shows. Well, with one exception. Busta Rhymes delivered a shockingly sub-par performance never allowing the crowd more than a minute or two of each song before transitioning into the next. Steve Guttenberg, while munching on a browning banana, spotted a friend and her dogs after his daily jog on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. After being teased about his banana, the actor got a little agitated and threatened to mash it in a photographer’s face. After calming down, Steve was asked about the torn tee shirt he was wearing. He suddenly lost his temper and pelted a photographer with his banana. Later in the day, Steve was spotted with a fan and a writer for a local newspaper. When
the three posed for a photograph and the woman left, Steve and the writer had words. This is the second case of the
Police Academy star losing his temper this summer. Mahoney!

Lindsay Lohan joined filming with the cast of
Ugly Betty today in Long Island City ( Queens ) NY. America Ferrara was also joined by Anna Ortiz who did a lot of dog walking and chilling with co-star Mark Indelicato.
Lindsay looked pretty damn good. I hope she’s turned a corner. Perhaps I will turn into a lesbian and do the same. I kid.

Samantha Ronson was chatting on her cell phone and having a cigarette on a bench on 6th Avenue. Shortly afterwards, she was met and hugged by Anne Jones and the two grabbed a table at Bar Pitti. After Samantha’s food came she touched a hot plate then knocked it over. The two ladies were joined by Samantha’s twin sister Charlotte. After a long lunch the three ladies walked off towards the West Village. Everyone goes to Bar Pitti it seems. Maybe I will go there, and a paparazzi guy will snap photos of me. Probably not unless I expose myself, and that’s not happening.

thecheappop.com’s Andrew Plotkin and Christopher Frank were on hand at Jones Beach for the Projekt Revolution Tour. Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, The Bravery, and Ashes Divide all performed along with a bunch of others including Street Drum Corps. We’ll be including posts over the next few days from the show. Kourtney Kardashian and fiance Scott Disick ate lunch at Bar Pitti. Kourtney would eat a lot also picking from Scott’s plate. She fussed with her hair and sunglasses and showed off her underwear before kissing her fiance after lunch. The two then held hands as they walked into SoHo. It was actually quite beautiful. Rachel Weisz had a late lunch with an unidentified friend at Bar Pitti. After a short walk, she tried to hail a taxi with the same friend she dined with. I’m sure she had better luck flagging a taxi down than I did. I mean, shit, I don’t have an Oscar.

I don’t usually like pasta in the heat, but from the looks of it, Paz de la Huerta doesn’t mind. At Bar Pitti yesterday, she had her fair share of pasta. Good for her. Eat those carbs. Hot, humid carbs. That was my nickname back at high school.

Ugly Betty continued filming in the Battery Park section of Lower Manhattan yesterday. America Ferrera left her trailer and headed to the set where there was some judicial vixens on the steps of the building used as a courthouse. The filming was highlighted with America having some bras thrown on her head. On a related note, I love that movie
Weird Science especially that scene where those guys put bras on their head. I once did that as a kid. I looked ridiculous.

Miley Cyrus preformed in Bryant Park yesterday in part of Good Morning America’s summer concert series. Geez when I was 15 I didn’t have nearly as much money as she did. I didn’t take any provocative photos either. Trust me nobody would’ve wanted to see me posing in a wet T-shirt.

Pink was having lunch at Cipriani Dowtown in SoHo with an unidentified lady friend and two others the other day. She drank a lot of wine and ate some mad nice eats before a man approached her and asked her to listen to his music. She obliged and then bought two cds from him. Afterwards she kissed the hand of her close friend. You know this story goes nowhere, but it actually does prove it’s all about who you know. I toss a fake mustache on Pink and give her a copy of my book - she has all the power in the world. I weep.

Kirsten Dunst left her West Village apartment and stopped at a local deli to pick up a smoothie. She then took a short walk while on her cell phone to a nearby building where an unidentified woman let her in. The hair is real but bleached - rumors however are swirling that Kirsten’s dating Drew Barrymore’s recent ex- Justin Long. Who knows if she is. I just wonder when Ed will be released on DVD - Long’s series, not the crappy Matt Leblanc movie.

Kirsten Dunst struts the streets of Soho in her pink Converse sneakers. Dunst eventually hailed a cab, but one has to wonder is that a wig she’s wearing to hide from the paparazzi? Hard to say but something’s not right about this picture. That dress by the way is extremely short.

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber packed up their car with a housekeeper as they set out on a road trip. Schreiber packed the car up by dismantling a bike and work out equipment. Watts then carried out
baby Alexander and later carried out large pillows. The couple have dogs, too. Wow, that’s a lot of packing.
