Stephen Baldwin and Michael Lohan share a coffee as they walk along Park Avenue in Midtown yesterday after having a meeting reportedly regarding their new Christian Network. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Lindsay Lohan was greeted by a group of adoring little fans as she left her late lunch at bar Pitti. Kids, don’t grow up to be her. You’ll end up showing your goods in tasteful pictures in New York Magazine.

Dave Holmes is so tomorrow
By Jon Chattman
It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since MTV held its first “Wanna Be a VJ contest” and passed over the uber-talented Dave Holmes in favor of that obnoxious, incoherent and Annie Hall-closet-raiding Jesse Camp. Whereas Camp went the way of the buffalo almost immediately after his hiring, Holmes has had a long and fruitful career. So there.
Holmes has hosted various shows on MTV (notably TRL, 120 Minutes, and a Puckless Real World reunion show), he’s all over the radio, and has even dabbled with comedy by appearing on VH1’s Best Week Ever and Comedy Central’s Reno 911. He’s currently part of The Friday Forty, a sketh comedy show in California, but rather than spewing out more from his bio, let’s get to this interview, which in itself, is newsworthy.
Holmes is the first personality we’ve ever interviewed on Facebook. Read the rest of this entry »

Lindsay Lohan and an unidentified friend arrived at JFK late last week (Dec. 27) for a trip to Capri, Italy. After a hug for her driver, she walked through the terminal…apparently with former child star Todd Bridges?

Hoffman on Savages and Selleck
By Jon Chattman
Year after year, Philip Seymour Hoffman delivers one superb performance after another so naturally, as the actor walked down the red carpet at the AMC 19th Street Theatre in NYC on Nov. 19 for the premiere of his new film The Savages, a lot of things came to mind. We wanted to ask him how he prepares for a role, what drew him to his superb new flick (see previous posts for a description), and whether he’s returning to Broadway any time soon assuming those stagehands put their signs down. Wire star talks up Savages and Mr. Reynolds
By Jon Chattman
Gbenga Akinnagbe admits his latest role in the soon-to-be release drama The Savages is a welcomed change of pace. For two seasons, the actor has played the role of killer Chris Partlow on the acclaimed HBO drama The Wire. “I wanted to do something completely different than being a sociopathic killer,” he said while walking the red carpet at the film’s NY premiere on Nov. 19.
In The Savages, Akinnagbe plays Jimmy, a caregiver who takes care of Lenny Savage (Philip Bosco), a patient who is suffering from dementia. The film centers on the illness and how it brings Lenny’s estranged offspring (Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney) back into his life.
Akinnagbe said working with such seasoned stage and film vets as Linney, Hoffman, and Bosco was a great experience. “They’re great - very open. I do a great lot of theatre myself, and they were very welcoming on set. They had so much advice to give me, and looked out for me. It was a lot of fun.”
Akinnagbe said he chose the role based on the script. “It was a no brainer,” he said.
And, getting to that $1 million question, as to who had the best mustache ever? Akinnagbe shot out another no-brainer: Burt Reynolds.
“Burt Reynold’s mustache was bangin’. His mustache was like I’m Burt Reynolds and I’m sexy.”
The Savages opens Nov. 28.

Queer Eye’s Carson Kressley stepped out in NYC last night (Nov. 19) for the NY Premiere of The Savages at the AMC 19th Street Theatre. The film stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney as siblings who cope with the deteriorating health of their accomplished father (Philip Bosco). The film opens Nov. 28. Thankfully Kressley didn’t try to change Bosco’s getup. We love the actor’s ’stache.

Actress Andie MacDowell looked stunning at the New York premiere of The Savages last night at Loews 19th Street East. When asked what dress she was wearing, MacDowell asked a fellow journalist to read the label in the back. We couldn’t make out the designer, because - well - because Ms. MacDowell was showing us her back. Pretty cool. Why don’t we make like Groundhog Day, and do it again tomorrow night?

We’ll have more on The Savages premiere throughout the day.

On Nov. 13, we caught up with Paris Hilton as she left the Ritz Carlton with dog in hand and a change of clothes in the rear (that sounds bad) as she headed off to Macy’s in Roosevelt Field, L.I. to promote her perfume Can Can.

A day later, our photog (on a first name basis with Paris we might add) snapped her as she left the Ritz with her luggage and dog Marilyn Monroe as they headed to Philadelphia. You needed another Paris post like you need a hole in the head, right? Sorry we can’t stop. She’s like heroin only not as addictive and, you know, we can’t physically inject her into our skin.
