Wilson Phillips were and are bad ass
I challenge anyone who thinks that Wilson Phillips weren’t pretty bad ass back in the day. Look at Wendy’s confident side profile, Carnie’s shoulder pads, and Chynna’s Steve Perry-like emotions. Watch them as they walk down the street all gangsta at the end of this video. Visuals aside, listen to the lyrics of the song, which while uplifting, actually ends up calling you out on your shit. Case in point: “You’ve got no one to blame for your unhappiness. You got yourself into your own mess.” That my friends, is what wrestlers call a heel turn.
