About the 'pop'

The site was created in October 2005 by Jon Chattman as a way to entertain - a fill the void (lack thereof) of pop culture news on the web.

This site features quirky celebrity interviews, tasteful candid celeb photos, entertainment reviews, biting inane short films, and zany humor stories.

Chattman recently released The Book of 'Bert,' a celebrity mustache humor book co-written by Rich Tarantino. His next book, Rock On!, is an anthology of first concert experiences. He co-wrote it with Ellen Feig and it will be released this fall.

Morning Staches with Danny Glover and Alex Trebek

Who would’ve guessed two mustachioed greats would share the same birthday?!? Danny Glover turns 62 today, while Alex Trebek turns 68. A couple of things to ponder as these brilliant men blow out their birthday candles:

1. Who would’ve thought Trebek’s afro would outreach Glover’s?
2. Who would’ve guessed Trebek’s older than Glover?
3. Why did Glover keep his mustache, while Trebek betrayed America and shaved his off?
4. Why is Rick Moranis still my favorite Canadian when Alex had such a rocking ’stache in the 70’s and 80’s?
5. Is Glover’s mustache ever “too old for this shit?”
I digress. Happy Birthday, gentlemen.
