About the 'pop'

The site was created in October 2005 by Jon Chattman as a way to entertain - a fill the void (lack thereof) of pop culture news on the web.

This site features quirky celebrity interviews, tasteful candid celeb photos, entertainment reviews, biting inane short films, and zany humor stories.

Chattman recently released The Book of 'Bert,' a celebrity mustache humor book co-written by Rich Tarantino. His next book, Rock On!, is an anthology of first concert experiences. He co-wrote it with Ellen Feig and it will be released this fall.

Best Mustache Ever with author Jeff Pearlman

“Easily ‘The Snow King, this dude I interviewed several years ago in Yellowknife, Canada. He lives on a river, and in the winter he allows his mustache/beard to fill with frozen snot. He calls it ‘Snotsickles.’ I love that.”

Check out Jon’s full interview with Pearlman, a columnist for ESPN.com’s Page 2 and a former senior writer with Sports Illustrated. He’s also author of Boys Will Be Boys, which chronicles the Dallas Cowboys of the 1990s, and the New York Times’ best-seller The Bad Guys Won! about the ‘86 Mets…it’s only the best book ever.
