About the 'pop'

The site was created in October 2005 by Jon Chattman as a way to entertain - a fill the void (lack thereof) of pop culture news on the web.

This site features quirky celebrity interviews, tasteful candid celeb photos, entertainment reviews, biting inane short films, and zany humor stories.

Chattman recently released The Book of 'Bert,' a celebrity mustache humor book co-written by Rich Tarantino. His next book, Rock On!, is an anthology of first concert experiences. He co-wrote it with Ellen Feig and it will be released this fall.

Joe Simpson is a superstar

Joe Simpson flags down a taxi after leaving the Ritz Carlton. Simpson was on his way to the Heliport to catch a helicopter and winked at us as if to say “I have more money than you will ever have.” This is true. I will never have this dude’s money - or his daughters’ money anyway. Then again, I don’t have any daughters at the moment so there is still hope that I can have them, turn them into stars, and then take some of their money as a manager. I have to call my wife…
